It’s true… Scott and I have been clipping coupons for awhile now. Why? Because it saves us LOTS of $$$. We don’t find it dorky or annoying and we’re not embarrassed to use them.
We’ve been getting the Sunday paper delivered to our house for about 4 months (we got a whole year subscription to the Star Tribune for a dollar!). We love getting Ella up, making coffee, and reading the Sunday paper in bed. We look forward to it every weekend and miss it on weekends when we’re out of town. At some point on Sunday morning… or afternoon, Scott clips the coupons and I read the grocery ads and think about how the coupons we have go with the weekly sales. I also check this blog to see what deals and coupons match up at the grocery stores in our area.
Ella Bear and I usually grocery shop on Wednesdays because Rainbow doubles some of our coupons! Also, we often swing into Target to pick up a few other items.
Last month we saved over $100 clipping coupons! We think that’s pretty awesome.
Take a look at our receipt from Cub Foods 2 weeks ago… Yep we only paid $1.02 for brown sugar, cheese crackers, 2 brownies mixes, 1 cake mix, grapes, and 1 gal. of milk. Sweet!
