When Scott got home last Friday we headed over to Prior Lake to check out a slide that I had found on Craig’s list for Ella. We have been wanting to find a slide for next summer and this one seemed perfect. When we got there we found a slide in great condition, but it was in need of a good scrubbing. We paid the $30 for the slide (on Amazon the slide would have cost over $100 after shipping), took the slide apart so it would fit in the Equinox, and brought it home. We spent part of the evening cleaning the slide, drying the slide, and re-assembling the slide. Ella enjoyed watching us from her stroller. Once we had the slide back together, we brought it into the house for the winter. Though we were planning on Ella using it next summer we think she’ll be able to start playing on it in a few months (once she’s pulling herself up and become more mobile). The slide is upstairs in the office currently. We’d like to make the office into an office/playroom… we’ll keep you posted on our progress.
Elle decided she chew on her stroller while we washed up her slide/climber. |
Elle watching Mommy clean. |
Still chewing on her stroller. |
Scrubbing the little parts and nooks with a tooth brush (I like things clean). |
Look at those clean, clean pieces. |
Chewing on her shirt now instead of the stroller... look at those baby rolls! |
Drying everything off (he was excited to put it back together). |
Now she's trying out her fingers... yum-yum! |
Assembling begins. |
We brought it inside. Elle tested out the slide. Half smile/half what is this thing. |
We placed her in the tunnel. Image her climbing through the tunnel in a few months. |
She's holding herself up. Can you see her climbing on this during the winter? |
Look at those chunky legs... love! |
And of course.... eating the wheel. |
