Thanksgiving!

We celebrated Thanksgiving with Scott's family a few weekends ago (sorry I didn't have my camera with me that day to snap a few pictures). On Thanksgiving we all gathered at my parents to celebrate. We actually started the day with a big brunch and ended the day with a turkey dinner.

We munched on snacks and watched the football game.

Ella smiled for some pictures (she started the day in a cute Turkey onesie, but slobbered all over it and needed a new outfit by mid-afternoon).

We chatted.

And listened. Aren't they cute?

Bananas? Yes, Please!

We bought Ella Bear some yummy organic bananas and then waited for them to ripen.
Scott mashed, mashed, and mashed. Then he added some water to get them to the right consistency.
Ella played with her spoon while she waited for her bananas!
The first taste...
What does she think? She's definitely pondering this new food...
Yummy! (Do you see those bottom two teeth?!?!
More please!

Baking an Apple Pie

I have oodles of pictures from our long Thanksgiving weekend in Cannon Falls. We went to my parents house on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and stayed there until Sunday. We had such a wonderful time. I'll be working on posting all of our fun this week.

On Wednesday afternoon, Ella and I baked an apple pie! Yummy!

Ella's very seriously watching me cut and peel the apples.
Ready for the oven.
Smiles!
Ready to eat!

Let the Holiday Season Begin...

We are so excited about the holiday season at our house! We're looking forward to celebrating the holidays with family and friends. We've already started the decorating the house for Christmas and have been enjoying Christmas tunes for several days now. This year, we decided to create a list of holiday fun that we want to make sure to enjoy with Ella Bear. We'll be posting pictures as we check off our Christmas and Holiday fun!

Ella Bear is 7months Old Today!

Our baby girl turns 7 months old today! I can't believe how fast the past 7 months have gone. Our happy little Ella Bear is sleeping through the night about half the time, trying so hard to crawl... and getting so close, and is rolling everywhere! She loves her rice cereal and peas, thinks most veggies are pretty good, and isn't so sure about the sweet, tart fruits that we started this past week. We love you Ella Bear!

Saturday Grocery Shopping...

Ella and I usually do our weekly grocery shopping on Monday and Wednesday. We head over to Target on Monday and pick up what we need and pick up the good deals for the week. Then we usually head over to Rainbow Foods on Wednesday and get the weekly sales/deals. Why Wednesday? Because they double coupons on Wednesday that's why! But this past Saturday Rainbow had double, double daze (which means they double a lot more coupons), so we went grocery shopping as a family on Saturday morning. The result....

A LOT OF GROCERIES FOR A LITTLE $$$$

We bought just over $116 worth of groceries, but only paid $30.32!

What is Ella staring at?
All of the groceries of course.... So I wouldn't normally take a picture of all the groceries we bought, but we were really amazed at how much food we bought for $30... so Scott stacked up the food and snapped a picture...

A few of the things we purchased... 4 boxes of Kashi cereal (a favorite at our house), 6 boxes of baby cereal (which we got all six for free), 6 bags of frozen veggies, 2 packages of frozen blueberries (we actually made 44 cents off each package, which the deducted off our total), string cheese, 3lbs of organic pears, yogurt, 3 bottles of juice and so much more!

I think Ella want to roll over to the table and knock down the food tower that her Daddy made!

Happy Baby! I think she's ready for her morning breakfast of rice cereal!

Elle's bottom two teeth poked through about a month ago. Each morning Ella Bear practices brushing her teeth with her baby tooth brush...

Ella Loves Solids!

Ella Bear has been eating solids for a few weeks now. She loves most of her veggies (she adores green beans, squash, and carrots, but isn't totally sure about sweet potatoes)  and she has just started eating fruits (she's only tried pears so far, and likes them!).

Ella's first bite is always accompanied by this face... We think she's thinking, "WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THIS?"

As you can see... Ella enjoys meal time!

Trick or Treating at Great-Grandpa Ralph's!

Ella trick-or-treated at one house this year... Great-Grandpa Ralph's. Grandpa Ralph lives a couple of miles away so it was the perfect outing! There's Buffy in the window.

Ella Bear isn't to sure about ringing the doorbell. Notice that we went while it was still light out. Ella Bear usually goes to bed when it is still light out (she's been going to sleep around 6:30... sometimes we're able to keep her up until 7).
Serious face! We tried to get her to growl. She just thought we were crazy.

Ella Bear and Grandpa Ralph!
Now she's all smiles.

She thought picking out a piece of candy was so fun!

She even tried to put the candy in her mouth... but didn't get to eat it (Scott snacked on the candy later).

Halloween Pictures!

Carving Pumpkins!

Ella and Scott started carving pumpkins on Sunday night.
Ella watched closely...

Scott was very proud of himself when he finally cleaned out the pumpkin's insides... he made the hole at the top a little small and had troubles fitting his hand inside.

Ella got a little bored watching...
Scott's pumpkin... yes that is a knife sticking out the top!

Ella's pumpkin... the eyes are her hands. The smile has two teeth just like Ella Bear's smile!
