Ella turned 6 months!

We just love this picture of Ella Bear that we snapped in our living room last week. We think she looks adorable! But anyways, we thought we'd update you on Ella's stats that we got from the doctor last week. Ella weighed in at 17.5lbs and was 25 inches long. That puts her in the 80th percentile for weight and the 40th percentile for height!

Ps. We'll try to get some Halloween picture up tonight or tomorrow morning!

An Early Halloween Gift...

We had a package in the mailbox when we got home on Sunday night (we were back in Cannon Falls for the weekend celebrating Scott's birthday with my family and Scott was also enjoying some bow hunting). When we opened up the package we fun some Halloween treats for Ella from her Grandma Barb.
Ella got an adorable Halloween bib, which she's been wearing this week when she eat rice cereal.
And she also got some fun new socks, which was perfect being that Ella has out grown most of her socks.
We had a hard time getting Ella Bear to smile. She was very serious after her car ride/ car nap.
Trick or Treat!

Making Ice Cream with Grandpa

My Dad got an ice cream machine for his birthday. He's made really yummy vanilla ice cream and a few weekends ago he made raspberry ice cream while we were visiting.
Ella Bear loves watching people cook and work in the kitchen.
Don't you love the sunglasses and the reading glasses combo!
Mixing...
Yummy!

How Ella Watches Football...

Each Sunday we dress Ella Bear up in her Vikings jersey for the football game.
And this is how Ella watches the game. Since we don't want her watching TV (we always tell Ella, "No TV until your 2!") we turn her back to the TV. She doesn't mind. She loves watching us watch the game. You can see in the background that the vikings scored a touch down. We are working on teaching Ella how to hold her hands above her head when the Vikings score a touch down. No luck yet.

Wow those stacking cups of Grandma and Grandpa's are so much more interesting then the extra point.

But Ella Bear does get to catch a few glimpses of the game when she cuddles with Grandpa.

Ella's got a BIG GIRL CAR SEAT!!!

Ella Bear's big girl car seat arrived at our house on Thursday!
She seemed to really like sitting in her new car seat.
All smiles! Ella does NOT like her infant car seat. She always screams when we put her in it. She still has plenty of room and could ride in it for awhile longer, but we thought we'd get her a big girl seat and we crossed our fingers that she'd like it better.
Scott installed the car seat in our car on Saturday. She's been enjoying the new seat! She'll be able to ride in this car seat until she's 70 lbs!

Happy Birthday Scott/Daddy!

Scott celebrated his 25th birthday on Thursday. Ella and I spent the day baking a cake and making birthday streamers. We gave Scott his birthday present at the end of September (I am horrible about keeping presents a secret). We made Scott a traveling photo coffee mug and gave him some instant coffee and coffee creamer to go along with it. He keeps his goodies at work! The travel mug is very cool because you can change out the pictures!

Ella isn't so sure about the candle.
Still checking out the candle...
We only put one candle on the birthday cake!
Check out the cake Ella and I made for Scott. Ella tried grabbing the cake and got her fingers full of frosting. We were able to clean her hand before she found her mouth.

Picking a Pumpkin

Ella Bear picked out her first pumpkin last weekend at Grandpa and Grandma's house. We decided to take some pictures of Ella and the pumpkins.... we had a hard time getting her attention.
She finally looked at the camera, but no smile.
And then she looked away again.
And then she checked out the grass.
And finally, a smile!
And she looks away again.
Giggles!

And back to checking out the grass!

We tried to take a family picture. Apparently both Scott and Ella have a hard time looking at the camera.
Ella's watching Grandma (who is trying to make her smile), but it wasn't working. At least Scott decided to look at the camera this time.

Ella's so done trying to take a family picture!

Hey Ella maybe you could take a cute picture on the pumpkin....
Guess not. She's trying to roll over... still hates to be on her tummy.

Hey Ella, maybe you could take a cute picture sitting beside the pumpkin...

Or not!
Finally we've got smiles. Ella loves her Grandpa.

ISH!!!! Look who was hanging out while we snapped pictures (Scott took this picture while Grandma Julie, Ella and I ran away screaming!!!!!!!!!!!!!). Ella didn't understand why Mommy and Grandma were screaming so much!

Here are the three pumpkins we took home from Grandpa and Grandma's pumpkin patch. They look pretty cute sitting on our front steps. We'll have to carve them in  a few weeks.

Happy girl with her Mommy!
