Halloween Progress!!!

Ella Bear's hat!
I’ve successfully made a bear hat for Miss Ella. I have made several hats for Ella Bear while attempting to perfect the hat making process. It looks like Ella will be a bear a for Halloween after all! We purchased an adorable pair of brown leggings (we actually bought them while I was pregnant) and found a cute brown sweater at a garage sale a few weeks ago. Luckily the browns go together nicely and the leggings and sweater are a little big for Ella right now (which means they should fit by the end of October).

I had a horrible time getting her to look at me for a picture with her hat on! This was the best I could do!

4 Month Check-Up!

Miss Ella Kay had her 4 month check-up on Friday afternoon. She weighed in at 14lbs 9oz and was 23 ½ inches long. That puts her in the 68th percentile for weight and only the 19th percentile for height. She did much better with these shots then the shots she got at 2 months (we did give her some baby Tylenol this time around).

The State Fair

Last Thursday Scott took the day off and we packed up the Equinox (Ella requires a LOT of stuff whenever we go out) and headed to the State Fair with Grandpa Brain and Grandma Julie. It was so much fun! Definitely one of my favorite trips to the state fair that I can remember. We introduced Ella to cows, horses, chickens, goats, and rabbits (we skipped out on the pigs… too stinky). We also spent a lot of time hanging out listening to music, chatting, and people watching. We were at the fair from 9:30am until 4pm. Ella Bear napped during the parade (apparently marching bands make for good background noise while sleeping). She was such a good little girl and only fussed the tiniest bit while riding in the car to and from the fair (which she does whenever she rides in the car). Such a fun day!

Trip to the Park!

Before I share about the park, I thought you should get a look at Ella before we left our place and headed to the park...
I haven't been able to find a sun bonnet for Ella (we have several sun hats, but they are all still too big for her head). So my Mom found one of my old sun bonnets and that's what we're using now!

We have started taking longer walks now that Elle is enjoying her stroller so much more. Last week we took a 2 ½ mile walk through the neighborhood one evening and decided to go for a long walk last night too. First we headed over the nearby park. Ella Bear loved the swings…

I also took her down the slide. She thought this was great fun. I wish I would have seen the puddle of water from the afternoon showers at the end of the slide (I was lucky enough to have a wet bottom for the remainder of the walk).

We also watched Scott play on the jungle gym. He enjoyed himself!

Then we continued on our evening stroll. Such a wonderful Sunday evening.
